A Constitutive Model of Sandy Gravel Soil under Large-Sized Loading/Unloading Triaxial Tests

Based on large-scale triaxial tests of sandy gravel materials, the strength and deformation characteristics under loading/unloading conditions are analyzed. At same time, applicability hyperbolic constitutive model to is studied using experimental data. The results indicate that low confining pressures (0.2 0.4 MPa) shows a weak softening trend; higher pressure, more obvious hardening tendency (0.6 0.8 greater peak strength. During unloading tests, strain occurs, increases with increasing pressure. loading dilatancy appears when pressure MPa). With (0.4, 0.6, MPa), trend gradually weakens, cumulative volume tric increases, which reflects relevance stress paths. Through research, it found has good soils, corresponding parameters obtained.
